The Granfondo Internazionale Gavia e Mortirolo scheduled in Ponte di Legno (Brescia) next June 22, 2025 DOUBLES. Thanks to an agreement with the group EPICDAYS.CC. professionals in the organization of off-road events, Rock River Randonnée Ponte di Legno – Tonale is born. An extraordinary event included in the program of the historic granfondo organized by Vittorio Mevio’s Gs Alpi that makes its debut in the Ponte Di Legno Tonale area to allow cycling enthusiasts to discover this precious corner of our extraordinary country.
Get ready for a unique experience: on June 21 and 22, 2025 comes the Rock River Randonnée, a non-competitive bikepacking event that combines passion, adventure and discovery of the area by EPICDAYS.CC. Gravel, mtb and e-bike will be the absolute stars, on a route that promises to leave you breathless. Open to all bike lovers, this event is designed to immerse you in the natural and historical beauty of the Upper Camonica Valley to the gates of Trentino.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced cyclist, the Rock River Randonnée has the right trail for you:
- 50 km and 1100m of elevation gain: for those who want to savor adventure with a touch of challenge
- 90 km and 2200m of elevation gain: a challenging journey between nature and history.
- 130 km and 3200m of elevation gain: an epic challenge to experience in a day or two, exploring every corner of this magical land.
A Journey Through Legendary Locations
The start is set for 9 a.m. from Ponte di Legno, framed by the imposing peaks of Adamello and Gavia. The route winds through enchanted villages and breathtaking scenery:
- Case di Viso, a medieval village that looks like something out of a fairy tale, where time has stood still.
- The legendary Passo Gavia climb, a sacred place for cyclists around the world, with spectacular views of the Adamello massif.
- Valle delle Messi e Val Grande, scrigni di natura incontaminata dove la flora e la fauna sembrano voler accompagnare ogni pedalata.
Refreshments and History at Every Bend
There will be no shortage of strategic refreshments along the way to savor local products and recharge your energy:
- Vione: the first refreshment, an explosion of local flavors.
- Edolo: the lowest point of the trail, where to prepare for the next ascent.
- Ossana Castle: a magical pause, overlooking the small lakes of San Leonardo.
From Passo del Tonale to Trentino
A special gondola ride will take you to Passo del Tonale at 1800 meters, opening your eyes to the majestic Presanella, the highest peak in Trentino.
From here begins the spectacular Salt Road, an ancient military road that glides past historic forts and World War I barracks to Vermiglio and Ossana Castle.
The End: A Triumph of Freedom
After the last challenge on the hairpin bends of Baita Velon, the adrenaline turns to pure joy with the descent on the new bike path that connects Passo del Tonale to Ponte di Legno. At the finish line, the warmth of this village will welcome you, celebrating your every pedal stroke with the enthusiasm that only great events can offer.
