The Granfondo Internazionale Gavia e Mortirolo is preparing to experience a historic 21st edition with important news: for the first time, the start and finish will be hosted in Ponte di Legno, at the foot of the Passo del Tonale, in the heart of the Alta Valle Camonica. The appointment is set for Sunday 22 June 2025.

This new location, created thanks to the important support of the Consorzio Turistico Pontedilegno Tonale, further enhances the event organised by the Gs Alpi, offering participants breathtaking scenery amidst the Adamello and Gavia peaks, already popular destinations for cyclists and mountain bikers during the summer season.

Three routes for the Granfondo

As usual, participants in the Granfondo Gavia e Mortirolo can choose to cycle along three routes, all starting and finishing in Ponte di Legno. The roads will be completely closed to traffic from 7:30 a.m. until late afternoon, in order to allow all participants to pedal safely in complete peace.
The commemorative jersey that will be available for all competitors in the race pack will be presented shortly.

The Rock&River Randonnée is born: an adventure open to all

The big news for 2025 is the introduction of the Rock&River Randonnée Ponte di Legno – Tonale, a non-competitive event organised in collaboration with EPICDAYS.CC. Open to all cycling enthusiasts, this randonnée will take place on 21 and 22 June 2025, offering three routes suitable for different levels of fitness:

  • 50 km with 1,100 m of elevation gain: for those who want an accessible but challenging adventure
  • 90 km with 2,200 m of altitude difference: a challenging journey through nature and history
  • 130 km with 3,200 m of altitude difference: an epic challenge to be experienced in one or two days, exploring every corner of this magical land

The routes pass through enchanted villages such as Case di Viso, the legendary Passo Gavia climb, and breathtaking landscapes of the Valle delle Messi and Val Grande. The event culminates with a descent on the new cycle path connecting Passo Tonale to Ponte di Legno, offering a unique experience of sport, nature and culture.

Registration and information

Online registration for the Granfondo Gavia and Mortirolo will be open until 18 June 2025. It will also be possible to register on-site on the days of the event. The participation fee includes race package, race bib, mechanical and sanitary assistance, refreshments along the route, showers, pasta party and guarded closed park at the finish.
